Although Amanda and Joe (commonly referred to as Tags) grew up in the same town, the two didn’t cross paths until senior year of high school. During that year, Joe began eating lunch with some of Amanda’s friends. She would often visit the lunch table, and the two began to grow friendly. Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend, where the pair found themselves renting beach houses in wildwood with their friends. Joe and his friends spent much of their weekend with Amanda and her friends, and this is when the connection between the two really grew. They spent hours talking about life and had so much fun together. Because college was right around the corner, Amanda was weary about the thought of moving into a relationship with Joe. However, that didn’t stop them, and they began dating on July 9, 2012. Through the last 8 years, Amanda and Joe have had many ups and downs, laughs and tears (mostly laughs), and managed to have a long distance relationship for 6 of those years. Although that part was a challenge, they made it work. After almost 8 years of dating, Amanda and Joe knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, and Joe got to work planning. Working extremely hard to keep his plan a secret from Amanda, (not an easy task!), he successfully planned a special day and kept it all a secret. In January, Joe told Amanda that he had made plans with their friends to go to out for lunch and some drinks on March 7th. To be honest, Amanda was a little suspicious, (since when does Joe make plans 2 months in advance?), but she shrugged it off and just hoped for a fun day in the city with friends. March 7th finally came, and Amanda and Joe took the train into the city with their friends. The friends suggested going for a walk before lunch, stopping to take some pictures in Rittenhouse Square. At this point, Amanda was getting “hangry”, and just wanted to get to lunch! Well, turns out when it was Joe and Amanda’s turn to pose for a picture, Joe was about to pop the question. He said he had something stuck in his pocket and in that moment, Amanda knew. Joe asked Amanda to marry him, and of course she said yes. The amazing day continued, with celebrations with family and friends from near and far. Amanda and Joe are still filled with joy from that day, and are so excited to share their love and celebrate with everyone on their wedding day!
